A walk in the park
Magical realism walk in the park
Millions of flickering lights paint the sky
Bioluminescencet stars glimmer and fade illuminating my path
A firefly bloom in late June
Nefarious femme fatales buzz on by Feasting on exposed skin
Creatures that only exist to be food
Your radiating heat signature attracts more than mosquitos
A rhinoceros beetle sticks to my clothes as I saunter through the brush
Barbed feet and and a stout and barreling body
The most amount of physical contact I have had in days
Gravity defying flutters as loud droning noises
Thin bodies with sinewy tendrils that look ridiculous next to mine
A darner dragonfly lands on our underwear pile
A colony minded entity after pollen brandishes their stinger
Patches of a fuzzy thorax exposed as you flutter by
A carpenter bee or perhaps a buff tailed bumblebee
Nothing is sweeter than your honey
That’s enough insects for today
